A while back, we ran a staff collection of favorite motorcycling songs and the results surprised pretty much everyone. The folks who contribute to Cafe Racer magazine are of varied ages, ethnicities and cultural backgrounds, so as expected, we received votes for everything from jazz tunes that seem to help propel motorcycles down the road with their frenetic pacing, to traditional Irish much that quickens the pulse in perfect time for a brisk two-wheeled journey. But songs with lyrics specifically pertaining to motorcycles are the tunes that really leave a lasting impression on riders. We received a record number of messages pertaining to the publishing of our list of new school biking tunes, which isn’t especially surprising as music evokes passionate responses whether we’re talking Beethoven or Big daddy Kane. Check out our recent list of five of the best motorcycle songs as selected by the CRM team and get in touch via rockersrule@caferacermag.com and let us know if you’ve heard any of these motor-vating gems. Feel free o chime in and let us know your own special motorcycle ditties, be they old, new or somewhere in between.
