Fingers Crossed For Custom Show

July 15, 2020 | By Mike Seate

There’s just over a month until Cafe racer’s 13th Annual Reader’s Ride-In Custom Show takes place and we’d like to clear up a few issues. We’ve been deluged with messages from folks planning to attend this year’s show who are concerned that the shifting landscape of Coronavirus-related restrictions may affect the event. Those concerns are quite valid given that Allegheny County has frequently announced differing numbers of just how many attendees will be permitted into Sewickley’s War Memorial Park at one time. As much as we, like everyone else, wishes this whole ugly, deadly disease would simply be brought under control, the immediate future of events like ours is uncertain at the moment. The team at the Sewickley Borough have been quite helpful assisting CRM’s crew to work through the restrictions t bring you, our dedicated bike-building reader, another top-class event, and they’re providing us with updates as they roll in from county authorities. Please keep an eye on this space each week as the date approaches as we;ll be up-to-date with news about whether the show will, indeed go on. Our fingers are crossed for a brighter future for this and all motorcycle gatherings everywhere. Stay safe and remember- motorcycling is the ultimate social distancing!
